System Requirements

Before you join your Safari Montage Live session make sure that you have updated the plugins on your computer or installed the latest version of the app on your mobile device.

Windows and Mac OS X

Make sure that you have the latest version of Flash installed on your computer.  You can check your version of Flash by clicking here

iPad or iPhone

The Safari Montage Live iOS app is compatible with iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

You can not moderate a Safari Montage Live session from the Safari Montage Live iOS app.

Android

The Safari Montage Live Android app is compatible with Android 2.2 or later.  In order to use the Safari Montage Live Android app you will also need to install the Adobe AIR app.  

You can not moderate a Safari Montage Live session from the Safari Montage Live Android app.

Video and Audio Setup

In order to fully participate in the session you will need to complete the video and audio setup.  You can participate in the webinar using a webcam and a headset with microphone on your computer.

On the day of the session anyone who is having technical problems connecting or causing audio feedback problems during the session will be removed from the session until the problems can be remedied. If you are having problems contact our technical support.

Testing Video and Audio

Follow the directions below to test your video and audio setup using the demo room.  

In order to limit feedback during the webinar we strongly recommend the use of a headset with a microphone. Pre-Webinar Email Template

This email template shares useful links for participants.  It includes links to the Flash plugin which is necessary to join the webinar session on your computer, links to mobile apps for iOS and Android, Safari Montage Live demo room, instructions on how to configure video and audio for the session, and instructions on how to contact support to troubleshoot issues.

Uploading Content to the Whiteboard

As a moderator you can load a variety of content to the whiteboard, including:
  • Documents (.ppt, .pptx, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .txt, .rft, .pdf)
  • Images (.png, .gif, .jpf, .swf)
  • Audio (.f4a, .mp3, .aac)
  • Video (.flv, f4v, .mp4, .m4a, .mov, .mp4v, .3gp, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .wmv)
  • Web Sources (YouTube, Flickr)
Note that if web resources are blocked on the participants network they will not be able to view the multimedia.

We advise not using hyperlinks in your presentations in Safari Montage Live.  If a participant clicks the hyperlink they will leave the session and be brought to the linked content.
